A Symphony of Nutrients

Holistic Health Everyday.jpg

I recall a time in my clinical work with clients when I was practicing mostly with energetic medicine and some dietary suggestions. I often felt hesitant about making supplement and dietary recommendations because I didn’t know the unique requirements of each client. There were general and universal things that I could recommend confidently such as various waters, greens concentrates, and living foods but supplements, even probiotics were challenging for me to recommend.  It was a feeling I had and I trusted it. I had to grope forward. As just one example, probiotics are generally considered to be safe for everyone but I had one specific case that showed me some will react to acidophilus. Several years later, I came across clinical data that stated this very thing!

What challenged me the most is that I saw so much adrenal fatigue in the early years in my practice and this went beyond the jurisdiction of medicine where the law of similars applies. I knew though, that it wasn’t enough to just give an adrenal glandular for there was an entire dynamic going on that I didn’t understand. How could I advance my work with clients and truly know what they needed to advance their health?

There is a complex dynamic that is taking place at the biochemical level.  This requires a “symphony” of nutrients to shift an imbalance. Most of us have some form of imbalance these days. We can never truly know the components of this “symphony” without an objective test. When I began HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) testing in 2017, this was the objective test I had been in search of. I finally could recommend food and supplements based on real data. It fit the bill for my mind that is drawn to science. An imbalance that includes adrenal fatigue as just one example, will inevitably require much more support than just adrenal support and HTMA will give us this understanding.

I think back to those years of groping forward without an objective test to guide me. Now that I utilize HTMA in my work with clients, it pleases me greatly to have objective data so my clients can eat and supplement to advance their health as they support and engage daily a very complex biochemical system.
